How to Request Account Deletion

1. In the Marchi app: open Settings, choose Close account, and confirm the deletion.
2. If you cannot access the app: email team@marchi.io from the email address associated with your Marchi account and include your Marchi username if you know it.

For email requests, we may ask for additional information to verify that you control the account before deleting data.

Data We Delete

Deleting your Marchi account permanently deletes the personal data connected to it, including:

• Your Marchi profile, including name, username, bio, home city, and social handles
• Your saved and visited projects
• Your lists and list contents
• Your follows, followers, notifications, and device tokens
• Your Marchi-hosted profile photo, if you uploaded one

Data We May Keep

We may retain limited information only where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcing our terms. These records are kept only for as long as required for that purpose or by applicable law.

Backups and system logs may retain limited residual data for up to 30 days until they are overwritten or deleted through normal retention cycles. We may also keep anonymised or aggregated information that is no longer associated with your account.

Retention Period

In-app deletion starts immediately after you confirm Close account. Email requests are usually completed within 30 days after we verify account ownership, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep limited information for longer.
